I really don't see enough of the UK. Aside from my trips to Devon once a year to visit family I don't get out of London much. I've been trying to change that and if you are too, here are two great places to go on a short trip.
Rye is an extremely picturesque medieval town in East Sussex. Really, it's so damn pretty.
Go here for: Wandering around cobbled streets and drinking afternoon tea. It's a small town, so it's perfect for a relaxing day out.

Winchester is a small city in Hampshire that was once the capital of England.
Go here for: History! There's a lot of it in Winchester - the stunning Cathedral, a museum with things from the Roman times, and the Great Hall which houses King Arthur's Round Table.
